SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION

Rank for the Searches That End in a Phone Call.

Not impressions. Not “traffic up 40%.” We pick the thirty or forty phrases in your city that a person types when they’re ready to hire, then build the pages, the speed and the local signals that win them.

Honest timeline: first movement ~month 2 · real lead volume ~month 4

RESULTS OVER RANKINGS

Traffic Was Never the Goal

Most SEO reports are built to look good, not to be checked. Sessions up. Impressions up. Nobody’s phone ringing more. Here’s what we count instead.

Metric 01 Keywords That End in a Job

Position tracked for the exact phrases a ready buyer types — not the head terms that bring students and competitors.

Metric 02 Calls and Forms From Organic

Tracked separately from ads, so we can prove which channel paid for last week's best job.

Metric 03 Map Pack Position

Where you sit in the three local results, per city and per service. For a service business this outranks page one.

Metric 04 Pages Doing the Converting

Which page turned a search into a call. That's where the next round of work goes.

Built for established service businesses — contractors, law firms, clinics — not startups testing the waters.

THE FOUNDATION OF SEO

Four Things, Done Properly

SEO isn’t fifty tactics. It’s four areas that have to hold together — a fast site nobody links to loses, and great content on a broken site never gets read.

Technical foundation

Nothing ranks from a site Google struggles to read or a phone gives up on. This is the unglamorous part that unblocks everything else.

City & service pages

One page per service per city you actually serve, written for a person deciding — not spun from a template with the city name swapped.

Local signals

For local search, the profile and the citations move the needle more than another blog post ever will.

Content & links

Enough content to answer what buyers actually ask, and links that exist on real sites people visit.

The Keywords We Chase — and the Ones We Skip

Same industry, two keyword lists. One fills a report. The other fills your calendar.

WE SKIP THESE

“plumbing”

20,000 searches, mostly students, DIYers and other plumbers.

“best hvac company”

Owned by directories. Ranking below Yelp is not ranking.

“how to unclog a drain”

Traffic that leaves the moment the problem is solved for free.

“law firm”

No city, no practice area, no intent. A vanity number in a report.

WE GO AFTER THESE

“emergency plumber [city] open now”

Ready to hire, phone in hand, price barely a factor.

“trenchless sewer replacement cost [city]”

High-ticket buyer comparing two quotes, not browsing.

“24 hour criminal lawyer [city]”

Called from a holding cell. Whoever answers first wins.

“custody lawyer near me free consultation”

Weeks of research ending in one booked appointment.

Someone searching “directional boring contractor near me” is ready to hire. One of those is worth fifty of the other.

LOCAL SEARCH

Most of Your Jobs Come From the Map, Not Page One

For a service business, the three map results sit above every blue link on the page. That’s the fight worth winning first — and it’s decided by proximity, categories, reviews and consistency, not by blog volume.

THE ROADMAP TO GROWTH

What the First Six Months Actually Look Like

No agency can promise a ranking date. We can tell you the order of the work and what you’ll see when.

Weeks 1–3 Audit & Fix List

We open Search Console and Analytics, pull your positions and your competitors', and hand you a priority list with the reasoning attached.

Month 1–2 Foundation & First Pages

Technical fixes ship, the profile is rebuilt, and the first service and city pages go live.

Month 3–4 Compounding

More pages, internal linking, review flow running, links landing. Pages ranking 4–10 get pushed into the top three.

Month 5–6 Volume

Budget shifts toward the cities and services that booked work. What didn't move gets cut, not defended.

Built for established service businesses — contractors, law firms, clinics — not startups testing the waters.

What Lands in Your Inbox Each Month

One page you can read in four minutes. No 40-slide deck, no vanity charts.
Every tracked keyword, where it moved, and which ones are within reach of the top three next month.
Calls and forms from organic search, with the page and keyword attached to each one.
The pages shipped, fixes made and links landed — in plain language, not task IDs.
One straight recommendation. If something isn’t working, you read it here before you have to ask.

When SEO is the Wrong Tool

Four situations where we’d tell you to spend the money elsewhere.

You need leads next week.

SEO takes 3 to 6 months — we'd put you on Google Ads and be straight with you about it.

We can't edit your website.

Optimizing a site means changing it. If every change needs three approvals, nothing moves.

Your service area has almost no search volume.

If nobody is typing it, we'll say so and point the budget at outreach or ads instead.

You want to keep the content you've got exactly as it is.

Thin pages don't rank, and no amount of technical work fixes that.

SEO Questions We Get Every Week

How long until I rank?
First position movement is usually visible around month two, meaningful lead volume around month four. Anyone promising page one in 30 days is either buying links or lying about the keyword.
Thirty to forty to start, per city. Enough coverage to matter, tight enough that each one gets a real page instead of a mention.
Not always. Most sites gain more in the first 90 days from fixing and expanding pages that already rank than from publishing anything new.
It’s real, and it hits informational queries hardest — which is one more reason we skip them. “Emergency plumber near me” still ends in a map pack and a phone call, and being in the pack is what gets you cited.
You do. The site, the pages, the profile, the data and the history are all in accounts you own. Always.

That’s usually the right call. Ads cover the same keyword list while SEO compounds, and the search-term data from ads tells us which pages to build first.
